German ADF Community – welcome to join

It was the 19th November 2009 when a group of partners had a meeting with product managers for Oracle ADF at the German Oracle User Group (DOAG) conference in Nuremberg. There were so many interesting questions about the potential and future perspective of this powerful development framework from Oracle that the participants expressed the wish to start a continuous discussion and cooperation in this area. This was the starting point of the German Oracle ADF community. Since then we organized 3-4 meeting per year where we present framework functionality, project stories and discuss the next activitities of the community.

The coordination is done by a team of 8 people including Oracle partners, DOAG representatives and Oracle sales consultants. Two of our members, Ulrich Gerkmann-Bartels and Timo Hahn, already got the state of an Oracle ACE. Our community hosts regular events and activities like the ADF Fitness Center (hackers event), ADF Spotlight (regular webcasts) and ADF Project Sessions (customer workshops). One of the highlights was the ADF architecture training 2013 in Munich with Frank Nimphius and Chris Muir from the ADF product management.
In the last year we started a closer cooperation with the DOAG, opened the community to customers and invited experts from neighbouring countries. We invite partners from Germany, Austria and Switzerland to join our community. If you are interested in a closer cooperation and the exchange of knowledge about Oracle ADF pls. let us know ( If you want to be informed about our activities pls. follow us on Twitter (ADFCommunityDE) or on XING (Oracle ADF Community).
